Kinda weird how Itachi and Kisame hype up Jiraiya but Orochimaru who was just as strong and a member of Akatsuki is just a dude to them.

We all like to think orochimaru killed the third in cold blood but mind you the thrid was no saint he did terrible things in his youth ( with) danzo and orovhimaru as his once student liberated leaf from his clutches as the thrid cared more about the rich who advance the leaf financial instead of the foundation ( the ninja and there furture). The first time I watched this, it came across to me as the first fight the protagonist “should” have lost i.e. Ippo won due to plot armor. But I have to give credit to the mangaka Morikawa here for the cat-and-mouse dynamic between the boxers in the final round; Kobashi really was playing 4D chess for the majority of the fight. He had the edge in points, defensive technique, and mental acuity but none of that meant anything when Ippo’s reverse psychology invited Kobashi to irrationally take the offensive as opposed to ride out the final minutes and secure a points victory. I think the ending is a great final touch that epitomizes the whole fight. The fact that Kobashi beat the first ten-count and just had to burn a literal three seconds to get the “W” but was too obsessed with attacking to just stay put and win exemplifies the fight in a nutshell: had he just stuck to his guns and not fallen for the allure of a potential KO - something that had always eluded him - he would have been golden. We can clearly see the psychology at work for both fighters - Ippo’s “operation turtle redux” and Kobashi’s mental implosion stemming from the frustration of being told he’ll never be a heavy hitter. Fights like this as what make this anime great.

2nd hokage absolute darkness is probably the only genjutsu use i liked in the whole series. No OP eyes traping you forever, turnning back time, controling you, making you change yourself to a good person but an actual fight tool that makes the fight harder for your opponent.

I know the word "like" can be used in the friendly or romantic way which leaves it vague on how one can interpret Naruto saying he likes people like Hinata so makes me wonder if what he said in Japanese was vague the samw way or more clear in the friendly or romantic way

The fact that Orochimaru had to bring out immortal versions of two former hokages who were as close to gods as one can be, just to fight Sarutobi shows how strong Sarutobi is. Being his student, Orochimaru ofc knew this and we see how justified he was in his preparation. This was still not a total victory for him.
